The new WorldView™ lids come in two different varieties: Compostable clear flat lids. These lower-profile lids streamline packages and are designed for cold food only. Made from PLA, a plant-based plastic, the lids meet ASTM compostability standards and are certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute as compostable in commercial facilities; BlueStripe clear lids for square packaging. These lids are made from up to 100% post-consumer recycled content but are not compostable. They are hot-food friendly and are vented for steam release.
