As the spotlight on single-use foodservice packaging continues to grow, the Foodservice Packaging Institute sought to better understand the general consumer’s use and perception of these items. To discover those consumer perceptions and provide feedback to its members, FPI commissioned a third-party to conduct a survey to find out how frequently people use single-use packaging and their perceptions and behavior choices related to foodservice packaging.Read More»
Residents and businesses in the Ontario municipalities of Brockton and Hanover now have the opportunity to recycle polystyrene foam, thanks to a $9,700 grant from the Foam Recycling Coalition.Read More»
The Foam Recycling Coalition awarded a $41,000 grant to Live Thrive Atlanta’s Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM). This funding will help expand the facility’s foam polystyrene recycling operation and continue improving the environmental and public health of Metro Atlanta by diverting hazardous waste and recyclables from local landfills. With this grant, CHaRM will buy a foam polystyrene densifier for its recycling drop-off site allowing the organization to process foam polystyrene onsite.Read More»
