If I've learned anything during my time here at FPI, it's that we are constantly evolving, growing and finding new ways to benefit our members and the public. As our industry changes and adapts, so do we.
But, as we change and grow, it's important that our various audiences know just what we're doing as we continue to promote the value and benefits of foodservice packaging. We will proudly tout that we do great work for our industry, but we will also fully admit that sometimes we do poor job of sharing all that we do.
In an effort to keep our members and others better abreast of what's happening with FPI, we're launching a new member newsletter. FPI Unpacked will be published bi-annually and will provide readers with updates on what we've been up to. We're using it as a forum to spotlight new and valuable resources such as the 2017 Trends Report and our resource for operators as they consider single-use foodservice packaging and their reusable counterparts. It’s also a way to promote media successes, recap our conferences and share the latest on the industry’s efforts to recover more of its products, among other things.
And while all of this should be a reminder for current members, it helps to point out to potential members all that they are missing by not being part of the industry's trade association. No matter what the audience, the newsletter should help point out all that FPI does to support the industry.
Of course, the e-newsletter is more focused on those within the industry. But, we don't want to forget about our external audiences… Spoiler alert — we're revamping our website! Stay tuned to see how our new website will provide a wealth of information to both members and non-members.
